For today's prompt, think about some things that you enjoy about commercials. Do your best to give specific examples of commercials that you particularly like. This is a warm-up activity for a project we'll be doing in class where we will be creating our own commercials advertising a product (either real or fictional). Have fun thinking about what we like about commercials!

I like commercials because sometimes they show you cool things to buy! They can also be funny(Happy Cow)!

The thing I like most about commercials is when they have the really weird facial expressions and they are screaming at you saying “And you can get three for free if you call now!” I also really like when they lie and you get the product and it is way different, or it doesn’t work at all!

What I like about commercials is sometimes they can be persuasive. Sometimes they are serious or funny. My favorite commercials are the Progressive Car Insurance. I think that they put lots humor in the commercials. Still, the commercials are a little weird.

A commercial I like is the oxi-clean because the guy is really loud. I also like the Harry Potter ads because they are sort of scary.

I think that they make things seem cooler than they really are. I think they stretch the truth to make you buy it. Sometimes the funnier the commercial the more likely you are to buy something because it keeps you interested.
